The EC 130 B4 mainly plays in the passenger transport register and answers to the public transport and corporate market segments thanks to its enlarged cabin, its modern technology, its comfort, and its " fly away" concept. MEDEVAC thanks to its large access and its spacious cabin. Fitted with the appropriate mission equipment, the EC 130B4 can also perform Police and Search & Rescue missions.

The EC 130 B4 complies with the new environmental requirements: low external noise emission pollution.
External noise emission according to ICAO Annex 16 Chapter 11:
< 84,3dB SEL in fly-over condition at Max Gross Weight, i.e. – 8.5dB better than ICAO requirement.
Low external noise thanks to its low noise “Fenestron™” .
Automatic control of rotor RPM in order to optimize noise signature in overflight without operational limitations.
